The LV Frame design is comparable to the “Y” shape, however it stands 2 to 5 millimeters lower in height, varying by ring size. This model pairs well with SV double-foot guides in medium/heavy actions, granting extra strength in the initial or secondary reduction guide and light LV guides further down the midsection. This single-foot, medium/heavy duty LV configuration is a well-liked setup for many freshwater and inshore saltwater rods of medium-to-light action. Following the LV frame reductions, L Frame running guides are usually added. Since 1983, the LV has been a dependable choice for spinning rods all over the world.
