Magic Mojo’s from MagicTail Lures are fish catching machines! Super versatile for striped bass fishing, they are most effective when slow trolled deep. Mojos pull in a much more vertical fashion thus enlarging the fish-able spread. Mojo can be fished on braid, leadcore or wireline and fished single or tandem via a three way rig.

Fishing Mojo with a three way rig opens a world of opportunity. One, the main line is most commonly braid (but mono, leadcore or wire works too). Two, the bottom/short goes to the mojo lure. Three, the top/long can be anything your heart desires; a plug, a spoon, a shad or a bucktail/parachute/mojo. It’s worth stating, we suggest making up three way rigs with a 80-100 pound mono leader line (bottom/short lead ~5-8′, top/long lead 10-15′) and 100-250# terminal gear (three-way swivel and snap swivels). Trolling in this style, the Mojo is what brings the rig down and into the zone. The top/long lure is to provide another look/offering and most of the time the one that gets the bite!
