The Mustad Octopus Inline Circle Hook is suitable for both saltwater and freshwater species. Its curved shape allows it to reach the corner of the fish’s mouth, reducing accidental deep-hooking. It can be used with many methods, from drifting with live bait for Tarpon to trolling for Sailfish. Choose a hook size that matches the bait, and remember to tighten the line instead of jerking when setting the hook. Additionally, its upturned eye is compatible with paternoster Snell knot presentations. This hook is suited for a variety of fish, including Wahoo, Snapper, Roosterfish, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi/Dorado, Sailfish, Skipjack, Catfish, Tigerfish, Nile Perch, and Arapaima. Mustad’s wire technology and nor-tempering process makes the hook lighter and up to 20% stronger.
